Your visit to Latham Park will enchant you…believing that you have found the proverbial “Shangri-La.” The park is a privately owned beautiful, and peaceful retreat from the stress of your daily life.
Latham Park is located at 1915 S. Lemon Street, in a traditional residential area of the Morningside area of Sioux City, Iowa. Occupying almost a full acre of ground, it is home to an endless variety of flowering plants, warbling songbirds, a wonderful fountain, quiet sitting areas, and one or two friendly squirrels. We invite you to visit, take a stroll through the park, read a book, enjoy a picnic…feel your mind ease and your spirits soar.
A special thanks to Dakota Kropf, his family & friends, and the Salix Boy Scout Troop #269 for recently refreshing and replanting our Secret Garden.
It looks great!
THANK YOU !!
A great big thank you goes out this year to Missouri River Historical Development for the grant they presented to the Friends of Latham Park for much needed new
grounds-keeping equipment --
a commercial grade mower,
a garden tiller, and a power washer. This mower sure makes easy work of our one acre of park space!
A special thank you to the Junior League of Sioux City for presenting Latham Park with a Mildred Anderson grant!
The Park will be closing soon for the 2020 season, so please come enjoy all the beauty it still offers.
